Your questions about affiliate internet marketing merchants

Helen asks…

Does anyone really know how to do internet marketing for affiliate programs?

Does anyone know how to do internet marketing for affiliate programs? I’ve recently joined Linkshare, but I don’t have a website. I want to promote Linkshare merchant’s websites
without a website of my own. Can anyone help me with this?
Thank you,
Sincerely,
Darryl

Jon answers:

I have been doing affiliate marketing for a little over a year now. I have never marketed any merchant from linkshare.

I mainly market Clickbank products. I would highly recommend that you invest in this:

http://www.affiliatemarketinglessons.com/CAC.html

I saw a vast improvement in the amount of commissions I made after I implemented the strategies recommended in ClickbankAffiliateConfessions (CAC).

Although, it is geared towards Clickbank… I’m certain that you can use the recommendations just as well with Linkshare.

All the best…

Carol asks…

As an online merchant looking to use affiliate marketing networks, do you get to choose your channel?

I am researching online affiliate marketing. Say I am looking to sell something online. Let’s also say I want to leverage affiliate marketing networks to advertise my product. As the merchant, is it common to have the ability to choose which type of advertising channel you are marketed to or is it more like a shotgun blast across the internet?

Or is it the other way around… do the affiliates choose what is eventually advertised by their site?

Do internet offers for "Free" gifts (e.g. TV's, games, etc.) actually give you what you want?

Here are the Requirements directly off of the website (the fine print).

SUMMARY OF PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS. To receive the reward you must: 1) be a U.S. resident at least 18 years of age or older; 2) Register with valid information; 3) Complete the following reward offers: 2 Silver,2 Gold, and 6 Platinum offers(Available reward offers will vary. Some reward offers require a purchase. Credit card offers may require you to activate the card by making a purchase, transferring a balance or taking a cash advance. Click on the following links to go directly to the reward offer pages:Silver,Gold, Platinum); 4)follow the redemption instructions. All program requirements must be completed within 120 days of the date of registration. Allow 6–8 weeks for delivery. Limit of one (1) gift per household. No cash redemption value. Please read the Terms and Conditions for complete program details. Your information will be shared with our marketing partners. Please read the Privacy Policy for more details.

HDReviewPanel is an independent rewards program for consumers and is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by LG Electronics, Sharp Electornics Corporation, Samsung Group, Samsung Electronics, or any other merchant listed above. Trademarks, service marks, logos, and/or domain names (including, without limitation, the individual names of products and retailers) are the property of their respective owners.

I took a look at the platinum offers and they only require about five dollars of your money each. Is this worth it?

Jon answers:

Its prolly a scam. Itll prolly cost you more to complete their different levels of “programs” to get your “free” whatever than it would to go out and buy it outright.

Nothing is free. Especially on the internet.

In http://www.FlexOffeers.com, as a merchant yes you can determine who joins your program and ultimately represents you online and what type of advertising will be allowed.
